Amazon RDS for SQL Server now supports linked servers to Teradata databases. This feature allows reading data and executing commands on Teradata databases from an RDS for SQL Server instance. Users can add the ODBC_TERADATA option to their instance's Option Group, and Amazon RDS will install and configure the necessary Teradata ODBC driver. The feature supports distributed transactions via MSDTC and uses TLS encryption for secure connections. It is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon RDS for SQL Server is offered.
