Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server now lets customers view and schedule OS updates for RDS-provided engine versions (RPEV). Using the describe-pending-maintenance-actions API or RDS-EVENT-0230 alerts, customers can track upcoming updates. The apply-pending-maintenance-action API allows immediate application or scheduling updates for the next maintenance window. Available in all AWS regions where RDS Custom for SQL Server is supported.
