Amazon OpenSearch Service now supports i8ge instances powered by AWS Graviton4 processors. These storage-optimized instances deliver up to 60% better compute performance compared to previous-generation Graviton2-based Im4gn instances. They use third-generation AWS Nitro SSDs with up to 55% better real-time storage performance per TB, 60% lower storage I/O latency, and 75% lower latency variability. Available in sizes up to 18xlarge with 45 TB instance storage and 112.5 Gbps networking bandwidth, i8ge instances support all OpenSearch versions and Elasticsearch 7.9/7.10. The instances are available across 10 AWS regions.
