Amazon MSK now supports Standard brokers running on AWS Graviton3-based M7g instances in the Africa (Cape Town) region. M7g instances offer up to 24% compute cost savings and up to 29% higher write/read throughput compared to M5 instances. Users can create new clusters with M7g brokers or upgrade existing M5 clusters via the MSK console or AWS CLI.
