Amazon MQ now supports ActiveMQ version 5.18, which includes several improvements such as initial support for JMS 2.0 simplified APIs and methods for XA transactions. Brokers on this version will be automatically upgraded to the next compatible patch version during scheduled maintenance. Upgrading to this version is recommended and can be done easily through the AWS Management Console.
