AWS has launched Amazon Bio Discovery, an AI-powered platform designed to accelerate early-stage drug discovery. The platform provides access to over 40 specialized AI foundational models trained on biological datasets, enabling scientists to generate and evaluate drug molecules. AI agents assist with model selection, input optimization, and candidate evaluation. A 'lab-in-the-loop' workflow connects computational design with wet-lab validation through integrated lab partners. Early adopters include Bayer, the Broad Institute, and Voyager Therapeutics. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center reportedly used the platform to design 300,000 antibody molecules and compress a one-year workflow to weeks. AWS also launched an Antibody Developability Benchmark dataset in partnership with Johns Hopkins.
