Amazon Inspector now supports agentless EC2 scanning for a broader range of software including WordPress, Apache HTTP Server, Python packages, Ruby gems, and Windows OS vulnerabilities — no agent or configuration changes required. Additionally, Inspector introduces Windows KB-based findings that consolidate multiple CVEs addressed by a single Microsoft patch into one finding, surfacing the highest CVSS score, EPSS score, and exploit availability, with a direct link to the relevant KB article. Existing CVE-based Windows OS findings will automatically transition to KB-based findings.
