Amazon FSx for OpenZFS now supports creating Multi-AZ file systems in shared VPCs within AWS organizations. Previously, participant accounts in a shared VPC could only create Single-AZ OpenZFS file systems; they were restricted from creating Multi-AZ deployments in VPCs they didn't own. This update removes that limitation, enabling organizations to run highly available file systems while centralizing network administration. The feature is available in all AWS regions where FSx for OpenZFS is supported.
