Amazon is expanding its Shop Direct program, which allows U.S. customers to discover and purchase products not sold on Amazon by linking them to third-party retailer websites. The expansion adds support for third-party product feeds from providers like Feedonomics, Salsify, and CEDCommerce, giving Amazon real-time access to merchants' inventory. Amazon's AI shopping assistant Rufus and the 'Buy for Me' AI agent feature are also integrated, enabling customers to complete purchases on external merchant sites without leaving the Amazon experience. Orders from third-party sites can be tracked in Amazon's standard order management interface.
