Amazon ElastiCache Serverless now supports IPv6 and dual stack connectivity in addition to IPv4. Users can choose from three network types when creating a serverless cache: IPv4, IPv6, or dual stack. Dual stack allows simultaneous IPv4 and IPv6 connections for gradual migration, while IPv6-only mode supports compliance requirements. The feature is available across all AWS regions including GovCloud and China at no extra cost.
