Amazon ElastiCache now exposes 13 new CloudWatch metrics for node-based clusters, covering network utilization, memory health, connectivity, pub/sub workloads, and command throughput. Key additions include network baseline usage percentages that signal burst credit consumption before throttling occurs, memory fragmentation metrics tied to the activedefrag parameter, page fault tracking for memory pressure, blocked/rejected connection counters, pub/sub channel counts, and total processed commands. All metrics are available at no extra cost across all commercial, China, and GovCloud regions.
