Amazon EC2 R8gd instances, featuring up to 11.4 TB of local NVMe SSD storage and powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, are now available in six additional AWS Regions: US West (N. California), Asia Pacific (Seoul, Hong Kong, Jakarta), Africa (Cape Town), and Canada West (Calgary). These instances deliver up to 30% better performance over Graviton3, 40% higher I/O performance for database workloads, and 20% faster query results for real-time analytics. Available in 12 sizes with up to 50 Gbps network bandwidth and 40 Gbps EBS bandwidth, they also support EC2 instance bandwidth weighting configuration for flexible resource allocation and Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) networking on select sizes.
