Amazon EC2 R8g instances, powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, are now available in three additional regions: AWS Middle East (UAE), AWS Mexico (Central), and AWS Europe (Zurich). These memory-optimized instances offer up to 30% better performance than Graviton3-based instances, with up to 3x more vCPU (up to 48xlarge) and memory (up to 1.5TB). They are suited for memory-intensive workloads like databases, in-memory caches, and real-time big data analytics, and deliver up to 40% faster database performance and 45% faster large Java application performance compared to R7g instances. Available in 12 sizes including two bare metal options, with up to 50 Gbps networking and 40 Gbps EBS bandwidth.
