Amazon CloudWatch Logs Insights has expanded its query language with 13 new commands and functions. New additions include string functions (round, startswith, endswith, case, regex_replace, haversine), encoding/decoding functions (urlencode, urldecode, base64encode, base64decode), and parse/analysis commands (parse logfmt, expand, relevantfields). These enable filtering by string prefixes, inline Base64 decoding, logfmt parsing, nested JSON array expansion, geographic distance calculation, and automatic surfacing of relevant fields in high-cardinality log groups. Available now in all commercial AWS Regions.
