Amazon announced a change in AWS Cognito pricing effective December 1, 2024, introducing new tiers: Essentials, Lite, and Pro. The Essentials tier, similar to the old Free tier, now offers up to 10,000 MAUs for free with a price increase for additional users. Existing users can retain their old pricing until November 30, 2025.
