Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime now supports the Agent-User Interaction (AG-UI) protocol, an open event-based standard for connecting AI agents to user-facing frontends. The integration handles authentication, session isolation, and scaling automatically. Key features include streaming text, reasoning steps, and tool results in real time; UI state synchronization for elements like progress bars; structured tool call visualization; and support for both SSE and WebSocket transports. AG-UI complements existing MCP and A2A protocol support in AgentCore Runtime. The feature is available across 14 AWS regions.
