Lumotive, a programmable optics startup, expanded its Series B funding round to $59 million by adding Amazon's Industrial Innovation Fund and ITHCA Group as investors. The company develops Light Control Metasurface chips with nano-scale pixels that electronically manipulate light, offering applications in autonomous vehicle sensing and data center optical switching as alternatives to traditional LiDAR and mechanical systems. Founded in 2018, Lumotive began commercial sales in 2024 and plans to use the additional funding for sales expansion and R&D.
