Amazon is launching one-hour and three-hour delivery options across hundreds of U.S. cities, covering more than 90,000 items. Prime members pay $9.99 for one-hour and $4.99 for three-hour delivery; non-Prime customers pay $19.99 and $14.99 respectively. The service uses Amazon's existing same-day fulfillment sites and a new dedicated storefront at amazon.com/getitfast. This move positions Amazon to compete more directly with Instacart, DoorDash, and Uber Eats. It follows Amazon's earlier Prime Now one-hour service (2014–2021), a 30-minute pilot in late 2025, and quick-commerce expansions in India and the UAE.
