Portkey and Akto have partnered to integrate Akto's security guardrails natively into Portkey's AI Gateway. The integration lets teams configure security policies once at the gateway level, automatically applying them across all AI traffic. Akto inspects every prompt and response in real time, blocking prompt injection and jailbreaks, redacting PII and credentials, filtering harmful content, and monitoring multi-step agentic workflows including MCP tool calls. Based on guardrail results, Portkey can allow, block, or redact traffic. The goal is to embed production-grade AI security directly into the routing layer without additional proxies or per-application code.
