The article delves inside the usage that both professional developers and layman people make of LLM; the fact that a piece of software is now able to guess what we want to translate into code is far not close to actual substituting software developers in the long run!
LLM will be instead used for easing and making more productive software developers by simply helping them doing what they’re already supposed to do, creating ingenious and creative solutions to architectural and business needs while cutting the corners of boring and annoying tasks!

As a software developer I agree that programmers are still needed for a long time before the need is gone but I disagree that it needs more programmers. Eventually there will be no need for programmers because the way you pose the problem to the system to solve it will change too. Let’s say there is an AI called Web AI and you need to buy a product you ask the web ai to show them and you choose and ai will buy it for you and have it delivered. Now in this case there is no need for website anymore. Therefore no need for developers. You keep thinking the old way of generating code for website which is wrong. There will be no need of websites anymore. There will be no need of code generation anymore. Codes are instructions you put for the system while you can in the future use your words for it the way you ask your friend to do something for you.

You’re giving Jensen Huang too much credit. The guy only said that because Nvidia stock price is at an all time high because of usage of their GPUs for AI. Of course he will pump this idea to the maximum, because he is just riding the wave for the shareholders.
