As AI video generation becomes cheaper, smaller competitors could offer similar slop with better features, fragmenting YouTube's market. Google's ownership of YouTube creates a conflict of interest, as Google's stock price depends on AI adoption, preventing YouTube from suppressing AI content even if it's in the platform's long-term interest. AI Slop Will Destroy YouTube’s Business

I was looking for honey badger videos, all AI. Tried looking for Elk in the wild, you guessed it, AI. It’s sad that I now manually filter for pre-2024

I agree, I could see the AI slop almost kill the platform.

Honestly speaking as a user, I hate the “Ask AI Chatbot” feature in every modern website I found myself into. The fatigue of seeing something every single time that contributes less to nothing is astronomical. I would say, “Here we go again, another web app riding the AI trend”.
I also share this sentiment with AI slop videos. People on social media are already fake and AI doubles it down which is mind blowing. I hope companies catch up to this. Users don’t like them, they are expensive to produce and kills human creativity at the same time.

I doubt this: AI video generation becomes cheaper.
It will become better with more options however I doubt it will become cheaper for few years, unless your goal is just to makes reals. The long videos where real creations spend major time is a long way to go
