AI Overviews are coming to your Gmail at work

Google announced at Cloud Next that AI-powered email summaries (AI overviews) are coming to Gmail for business, enterprise, and education users. The feature lets users ask natural language questions in Gmail search and receive concise answers synthesized from multiple emails, without opening individual messages. It will be enabled by default when both 'gemini for workspace in Gmail' and 'workspace intelligence access to Gmail' are active. Previously limited to consumer Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, it now extends to Business, Enterprise, Education, and other workspace tiers.
