I am reminded of the Arthur C. Clarke quote that “It has yet to be proved that intelligence has real survival value”.
Personally, I find the notion a super intelligent AI would present an existential threat to itself and humanity absolutely frightening.

So, if most of the careers will be automated, will we even have to work anymore?
I think even if this happens in the future, after some time of AI created products, there going to be a chance that humans will appreciate other human work again and see it as a unique value, it will become like the new marketing catch “Our products made by humans”.
For example, currently some of the products that is marketed as “Hand Made” have higher costs and people would pay extra to buy it due to its unique sense. History will repeat itself again.

While AI threatens to automate certain jobs, it also pushes us towards higher cognitive roles, emphasizing the importance of adaptability and continuous learning.
The global pool of remote workers expands the competition but also fosters a diverse workforce. Embracing these changes requires a proactive approach to personal and professional development, constantly evolve skills to thrive in the future work environment.

Answer here is not about how good AI’s will be , is the demand to use them. Its integration into the workforce is primarily driven by the demand for automation in specific job roles. Where there is a clear benefit and demand for automating tasks, AI will be increasingly adopted, potentially displacing jobs that are highly routine and predictable. However, this also opens opportunities for new roles that manage, develop, and complement AI technologies, highlighting the dynamic interplay between AI’s capabilities and the evolving needs of the job market.

Will there be times when we boycott companies that excessively use robots, even when there are capable people available for the job? As humans, we might choose to support companies that prioritize human workers over robots.
