Google has launched Agents CLI, an open-source command-line tool designed to streamline the full Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC) on Google Cloud. It targets AI coding assistants like Gemini CLI, Claude Code, and Cursor, giving them machine-readable access to the Google Cloud agent stack. The CLI covers project scaffolding, local evaluation with comparison tooling, and automated deployment to Agent Runtime, Cloud Run, or GKE — including IaC provisioning and CI/CD setup. Developers can also run commands directly in Human Mode for deterministic control. The goal is to compress agent development from weeks to hours.
