Google has launched Agents CLI, an open-source command-line tool designed to streamline the full Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC) on Google Cloud. It targets AI coding assistants like Gemini CLI, Claude Code, and Cursor, giving them machine-readable access to the Google Cloud agent stack. The CLI covers project scaffolding, local evaluation with comparison tooling, and automated production deployment to Agent Engine, Cloud Run, or GKE — including IaC provisioning and CI/CD setup. It supports both an Agent Mode (for AI-driven workflows) and a Human Mode for direct terminal use.
