Vercel is redefining cloud infrastructure for the age of AI coding agents. Over 30% of Vercel deployments are now initiated by coding agents (up 1000% in six months), with Claude Code driving 75% of that growth. The post outlines three layers of 'Agentic Infrastructure': (1) deployment surfaces designed for autonomous agents with immutable deployments, preview URLs, and programmatic APIs; (2) a unified platform for building and running agents, including AI SDK, AI Gateway, Fluid Compute, Workflows, Queues, Sandbox, and Observability; and (3) infrastructure that is itself agentic, capable of detecting anomalies, performing root-cause analysis, and proposing fixes autonomously. The vision is a platform that can write, ship, and heal software with minimal human intervention.
