Databricks has announced the general availability of Agent Bricks, its enterprise agent platform for building, deploying, and governing AI agents on business data. The platform addresses three core challenges: multi-AI flexibility (supporting frontier models, Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, LangGraph, and OpenAI Agents SDK through a single API), unified governance (using Unity Catalog and AI Gateway to enforce identity, permissions, and auditing across data, models, and external MCPs), and business context accuracy (leveraging Unity Catalog metadata to achieve 70% higher accuracy than standard RAG). New releases include Document Intelligence, Custom Agents, and expanded AI Gateway capabilities.
