Capitec Connect, South Africa's largest MVNO running on Cell C's network, more than doubled its net income to R442-million for the year ending February 2026. The operator now has 1.5 million active clients, up from 900,000 a year prior, with data usage tripling to 40.5 petabytes and voice minutes more than doubling. Capitec is now signaling a move into home broadband through partnerships, complementing its existing mobile, device financing, and airtime advance offerings. Fintech and insurance together now account for 53% of Capitec's group earnings.
