It means there are no standards left. We are going back to the stone age.

I used to maintain an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription in spite of the fact that I’m a developer and only a hobbyist graphic designer/photographer. But their price just kept going up and up and after a few years it was just no longer justifiable.
I hope this is not the first indication that they have now started focusing their greedy gaze on the open source market, which in their world view probably means unlimited potential for ever increasing profit.
I enjoyed using Illustrator and Photoshop, but now I am quite versed in gimp and Inkscape and I have not yet come across anything that I used to do with their products that I’m incapable of doing with the pure open source alternatives.

This can also bring opportunities to other open web alternatives.
