Adaptavist Group breach: Ransomware crew claims mega-haul

UK enterprise software consultancy Adaptavist Group is investigating a security breach after an attacker used stolen credentials to access internal systems. A ransomware group called 'The Gentlemen' claims to have stolen hundreds of thousands of customer records, source code for products like ScriptRunner, internal documents, and credentials. Adaptavist's CEO maintains there is no evidence that customer data was accessed or exfiltrated, though the company acknowledges the attacker accessed systems containing typical business contact data. Complicating matters, an unknown third party is already sending impersonation emails to customers and partners, suggesting opportunistic phishing activity tied to the incident.
