A developer questions the value proposition of AI coding tools that add abstraction layers on top of existing AI code generation. The concern centers on creating vendor lock-in and unnecessary complexity when AI coding assistance already provides significant abstraction from manual coding.

actually, i haven’t seen anyone use these tools right now. i don’t understand what their edge is. if you’re using AI to code for you which is already a huge abstraction layer, why would you put another abstraction on top of it and trap yourself within an ecosystem. https://t.co/lGsJqo3yeF
