Interviews with 15 engineers and community members at RustConf 2025 covering their experiences with Rust, what makes the language unique, and real-world usage. Key themes include Rust's memory safety without a garbage collector, its powerful type system enabling safe large-scale refactoring, the welcoming community, and adoption across domains like blockchain (Solana), code editors (Zed), deep learning (Burn), and data engineering. Contributors include engineers from Amazon, Oracle, Google, JetBrains, the Rust Foundation, and various open source projects.
