Karma Automotive plans to integrate Factorial Energy's semi-solid-state FEST battery cells into its upcoming Kaveya coupe, targeting a late 2027 launch. Factorial's cells achieve ~391 Wh/kg energy density—significantly higher than Tesla's 4680 cells—and a fully solid-state 'Solstice' cell is in development targeting 500 Wh/kg. Factorial boosted manufacturing yields from 10% to 85% at its Korean pilot line, aiming for 200 MWh annual capacity. The ~$400,000 Kaveya targets 1,000 hp, 0–100 kph in ~2 seconds, and 400+ km range. Karma could become the first automaker to sell a solid-state EV in U.S. or European markets, with Factorial also partnering with Stellantis' Dodge brand for electric Charger Daytona demonstration vehicles.
