A simple example of Ownership in Rust.

I don’t think this is simple, I can’t tell since I already know rust, but one thing I did figure out from having to teach someone rust is that what looks simple now, was basically impossible when we started. I have a feeling like this sort of examples wouldn’t make sense to someone who is just learning rust.
I still think this is the simplest example of ownership I have seen so far.

is it possible in rust to have a non-owning pointer, to pass it to a function for transformation, then still stating that the caller is the owner?
