Australian startup CipherStash has developed a Postgres proxy for searchable encryption of data in use. The proxy is based on the open-source project pgcat, written in Rust. It includes three modules for fine-grained control over data access: Audit, Identify, and Encrypt. With row-level encryption and unique keys for each field, the data remains inaccessible even if a hacker gains entry to the system.
