A hands-on comparison between MA (a new AI 3D web builder from the Spline team) and Claude Code for generating a 3D interactive water simulation hero section. Both tools receive the same prompt to build a water park hero with a mouse-reactive fluid orb. Claude Code produces a more convincing true 3D result despite taking longer, while MA is faster but delivers a less realistic shader-based output. The author concludes that for experienced Claude Code users, MA doesn't yet offer enough differentiation to justify an additional subscription, and suggests the tool would benefit from predefined 3D presets and shader libraries.
