A KTH student hacked a children's watch

A KTH master's thesis reveals serious security vulnerabilities in a popular children's smartwatch. Student Gustaf Blomqvist discovered an insecure network service accessible from the internet, gaining full control of the device including its camera, microphone, speakers, and messaging capabilities. The research highlights that such watches, marketed to parents as safety tools, can be turned into surveillance or denial-of-service attack vectors.
