I've been building software for a little over 5 years. And while I had to use languages like Python, Java, or C for certain projects, I wrote the vast majority of my code in JavaScript. This article isn't going to be a rant against JavaScript. There are enough of these already. I'll just list a few things I found to be really cool in the Go programming language from my perspective as a web developer. Think of it as my first impressions on the language.

Go is a fantastic programming language, it is mostly a C alternative, but it is truly one of the easiest programming languages to learn out there especially if you come from a background with C/C++ or C#. If you are a Javascript developer, you’ll get used to Go simply by knowing the OOP concepts. My recommendation will be to use Go(Fiber, Mux, Chi, etc) for the backend and Javascript for the front end. You can use HTMX, by the way, if you do not want to write too many unnecessary JS code :)
