Indie.io is launching Indie Pass, a $6.99/month subscription service for indie games, going live April 13 with around 70 titles. The platform aims to solve discoverability challenges for indie developers by offering a curated, rotating catalogue. Developers earn revenue based on player engagement time in an egalitarian share model. Unlike Game Pass, the focus is strictly on indie titles — shorter narratives, replayable games — targeting players who prefer that experience. No exclusivity is required, so studios can list games day-and-date on other storefronts. The service also targets back-catalogue titles that struggle to get rediscovered after launch.
