The AHA Stack, comprising Astro, HTMX, and Alpine.js, leverages a 100% JavaScript/TypeScript approach for building web applications, avoiding complex SPA frameworks. Astro handles the backend, HTMX manages client-server interactions, and Alpine.js introduces client-side interactivity. This stack favors simplicity, reduced complexity, and closer adherence to traditional web principles while still enabling rich, interactive user experiences.

The AHA Stack

I quite liked this. The AHA framework sorta reminds me of how I currently do things at work, I much prefer server-side rendering, it’s how my current system for work that I have been developing for 17yrs works.
It’s also how we designed websites back in the late '90s early '00s with PHP, and is also sort of reminiscent of DHTML.
I just recently started toying with Astro, the only thing I’ve found difficult is authentication with it, all the authentication libraries seem more cloud based, where as I need it to be all local via an internal API, but other than that, I’ve been enjoying Astro.

I would partner with Laravel (API) because of the ecosystem it provides. You won’t need to create solutions like sending emails, broadcasting events, social media login, payment methods, etc! Plus postgresql!
