I am using vscode + WSL and its trash Trust me… you need like 360GB of ram… especially if you are using docker inside wsl as well, and its full of cimplications like extra annoying configurations and forwarding networks from your wsl to your host os etc…
Just use the native OS…

Windows sucks no matter what. It is simply not meant for modern web dev.

I think it’s funny how desktop PCs have once again become the hobbyist system of choice. Laptops are fine, but the cost of performance specs and ease of configuration in modern desktops is hard to beat.
Docker Alpine is nice, especially for C# developers who deploy on containers. And I’m not shy about celebrating the power of VSCode or even Visual Studio as an IDE.

WSL is a game-changer for Windows… I’m happy it was introduced… now there’s no need for dual-boot or running those virtual-box VMs again… (personally)

I too am happy about Microsoft’s continuing advances in supporting and integrating Linux and open-source software into its ecosystem!
I am more used to and prefer the Linux terminal environment over PowerShell, so it’s great to be able to use that (not to mention all of the development tools written for Linux) without having to dual-boot or use a VM.
