Being in FAANG myself, one thing I know for sure is it’s not just about being deserving, but also a huge role of luck factor comes into play. There are still loopholes in the hiring process, nothing one can do about. I have seen a lot of un-deserving people who got it and very talented and much more deserving candidates being left out.
So, there is no need to be harsh on yourself. Have faith in your prep.

Being at FAANG for quite a time, my 2 cents is “Its just a hype”. There are far more talented people and exciting companies to work for. What matters is if you are contented or not.
