Clopus-Watcher: An autonomous monitoring agent

An autonomous monitoring agent called Clopus-Watcher uses Claude Code in a Kubernetes cronjob to monitor applications, automatically apply hotfixes when pods fail, and document incidents. The system successfully detected and resolved issues like memory leaks and deleted health check files without human intervention. The author argues that 24/7 on-call engineers and SOC roles are more systematically automatable than development work, as monitoring follows documented procedures and incident response patterns that AI agents can replicate.
