82 percent of US-based game developers support unionization

A 2026 industry survey of over 2,300 game industry professionals reveals that 82% of US-based game developers support unionization, with only 5% opposed. Support is highest among workers earning under $200,000, those recently laid off, and people under 45. Leadership shows lower support at 58%. Currently, only 12% are union members, but 62% express interest in joining.
