I have used this earlier during beta period for whole year,
IMO, this definitely improves productivity if you know what you are doing, but drastically reduces your problem solving ability.
After few days you will start relying on copilot totally to suggest you some code and it will just reduce your ability to solve that problem if you would have written down that code yourself and debugged the issues.
Github Copilot, is like a sweet candy which will give you the sweet pleasure in start but will definitely get you diabetes at later stage.
You choose what you need, for me I removed it.

My biggest concern is that, exactly as it’s happening mostly with Stack-overflow, people just copy-paste and don’t understand what they’re doing.

having used it for several months, I can’t imagine a non-developer having much success with it. you still have to know how best to write out your comments and function names. I find it actually HELPS me code better
