6 DEVS Make BALATRO, but it's a HORROR Game!

Six indie game developers collaborated to create a horror-themed version of Balatro, combining poker mechanics with dungeon-crawling gameplay. Each developer contributed specialized skills: custom card art featuring demonic imagery and severed body parts as suits, atmospheric music tracks with demon and angel themes, game design merging Balatro and Darkest Dungeon mechanics with a sanity system, pixel art for dungeon environments and character sprites, core programming for dungeon traversal and monster encounters, and final polish including merchant systems and unique monster abilities. The result is a moody roguelike where players escape hell through poker battles while being chased by a monster.
