TanStack AI is a new framework-agnostic, open-source AI toolkit designed to avoid vendor lock-in. It supports multiple languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Python), integrates with major AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama), and offers client libraries for React, Solid, and Vanilla JS. Key features include an open protocol for server-client communication, isomorphic tool definitions with type safety, per-model type safety for provider options, integrated devtools, and headless chatbot UI components. Currently in alpha, the project is volunteer-driven and seeking community feedback and contributions.
