A comprehensive performance comparison of five RISC-V single board computers released in the past 2.5 years: Orange Pi RV2, Banana Pi BPI F3, Sipeed Lichee Pi 3A, Milk-V Jupiter, and VisionFive 2. The review tests CPU performance using Geekbench 6, Silverbench, and GIMP filters, along with storage speeds, power consumption, and media playback capabilities. Results show that while RISC-V is advancing rapidly, it still lags behind ARM and x86 for desktop applications. The Orange Pi RV2 and Milk-V Jupiter offer the best overall value and stability, completing all tests successfully, while some boards experienced software compatibility issues during testing.
