I think as a backend developer it is also very important to exchange ideas with colleagues or even friends who work in the same position. For me, it was very good to do this, especially if you are new to the industry and have never written backend code before. It helps you get a better understanding of what a backend should or shouldn’t do. I would add that as a developer, whether you are on backend or frontend, it is important not to neglect the value provided to the customer.
Domain Driven Design, Behavior Driven Development, and mastery of architectural patterns, such as hexagonal architecture, are fundamentals to have, both as a backend developer and as a developer in general.

One more to add: Don’t underestimate your customer. Edge case validation are made for creative customers :)
