JavaFX 26 has been officially released, requiring JDK 24 or later. Key highlights include a native headless platform prototype for CI/CD and Docker environments (replacing Xvfb workarounds), a macOS Metal rendering pipeline replacing OpenGL, RichTextArea enhancements with IME support and paragraph formatting, new ObservableList.replaceRange() API, and extended dialog styles. Over 80 bugs were fixed including memory leaks in XYChart and SortedList, Swing integration NPEs, and GridPane layout issues. Core dependencies like WebKit 622.1, SQLite 3.50.4, and GStreamer 1.26.5 were also updated. Gluon also promotes its LTS and consulting services for backporting security patches to stable deployments.
